MTDS - Mini Tournament for Dancing Students
You’re familiar with Standard and Latin American dances from your university sports program, but now you want to show what you can really do. Then the Mini Tournament for Dancing Students (MTDS), a university sports dance competition, is your chance! This popular sports tournament, where having fun and dancing are the most important aspects regardless of skill level, is open to all dance enthusiasts. You will have the opportunity to dance several rounds and compete against others on your level, from Beginners to Masters. The feeling of standing on the dance floor with your heart pounding and the cheers of the audience all around you is indescribable. As a teaser, you can check out what it’s like at the “big brother” competition, the European Tournament for Dancing Students (ETDS).
The university sports tournament will take place on November 14, 2026, in Hannover. On the SportCAMPUS, you will have the chance to participate in both the Standard and Latin tournaments on the same day. Please note that you need to register separately for each tournament. Registration is open to students, staff, and external participants. Make sure to sign up soon to secure your spot. Registration is possible both individually and as a couple. If you register without a partner, you can find a dance partner for the tournament before it starts through so-called Blind Dating. Tournaments like this are even more fun as a team, so be sure to share this with your dance friends!
